Generating International Characters

You can generate international characters with AlphaGrip's iGrip using the shortcuts listed in the charts below. For Windows users, click here for a chart of shortcuts to common international characters. Mac users click here. Please note that these shortcuts do not work in every application. Also, changing your computers language setting will not work with AlphaGrip's iGrip because it has fewer physical keys than a standard computer keyboard.

The most comprehensive international character encoding system, which works in numerous applications and on all the most common operating systems, is maintained by The Unicode Consortium. Heres a link to a chart of the more common codes. To generate an international character, just type the code followed by Alt+x (Option+x on a Mac). For a comprehensive list of international Unicode characters, including codes for Bengali and Cyrillic, click here.
